Fees & fit

Straightforward pricing, individualized fit.

Figures below are drawn from MHW's filed Form ADV Part 2A/2B (CRD 343510). Whether a specific relationship is a fit is always an individualized evaluation, not a predetermined outcome.

Three planning categories, scoped to your situation.

Foundational Planning is a one-time planning engagement. The categories below are simplified descriptions designed to help illustrate different planning needs. Anticipated hours reflect MHW's current filed Form ADV. See Form ADV for complete service and fee information.

Core Planning

For individuals and households with relatively straightforward planning needs.

Advanced Planning

For executives, technical leaders, and households with broader planning and coordination needs.

Executive / Technical Leader

Typical fit: for executives and technical professionals whose planning may involve multiple income sources, employee benefits, equity compensation, concentrated stock, retirement transitions, and tax coordination.

Anticipated planning: 32 hours

Broader Household Planning

Typical fit: for households where several financial areas interact and benefit from broader coordination across retirement, taxes, investments, estate considerations, cash flow, or liquidity decisions.

Anticipated planning: 53 hours

Business Owner Planning

For business owners whose personal and business finances need to be planned together.

Focused Business Owner Planning

Typical fit: for business owners with relatively focused planning needs, such as a single business or consulting practice, where business decisions still need to be coordinated with the household financial plan.

Anticipated planning: 45 hours

Integrated Business Owner Planning

Typical fit: for business owners whose personal and business finances are closely connected and may require coordination across business and household cash flow, owner compensation, taxes, debt, estate or succession planning, and liquidity decisions.

Anticipated planning: 70 hours

Focused work, billed hourly at the filed rate.

Advanced Planning Projects are a separate, project-based service, distinct from the Advanced Planning category above. MHW's filed Advanced Planning Projects rate is $200 per hour, with a minimum-hour commitment set by project type.

Annual advisory fee, billed quarterly in arrears.

Ongoing Wealth Management fee schedule (filed Form ADV Part 2A/2B, Item 5)
Assets under managementAnnual advisory fee
$0 – $2,500,0000.80%
$2,500,001 – $10,000,0000.60%
$10,000,001 and above0.50%

This is a straight-tier fee, not a blended or marginal one

The single rate for the household's total managed balance applies to the entire balance. Example: a $3,000,000 household falls in the $2,500,001–$10,000,000 band, so the full $3,000,000 is billed at 0.60%, not a blend of 0.80% on the first $2,500,000 and 0.60% on the remainder. That is $18,000 per year, or $4,500 per quarter.

Minimums may be waived at MHW's discretion.

Each relationship is evaluated individually. A minimum below the advertised standard is not automatic and is not assigned a predetermined fallback tier. Where a relationship begins below the applicable minimum, the same asset-based fee schedule above still applies to the actual balance.

Relationship minimums (filed Form ADV Part 2A/2B, Item 5)
TierMinimum account size
Core Wealth$500,000
Advanced Wealth$1,000,000
Owner / Complex Wealth$1,500,000
